Easy Skirt

Hi, blog! I miss you. I really miss you. And I miss sewing too. Sorry for the long hiatus from blogging, my friends. I'm still here. Don't you worry.

I've not been blogging because I've not been sewing. See my friends. It's correlated. The big reason behind this is because...... I'M PREGNANT with baby #2!  I had a rough first trimester. It even dragged until the beginning of second trimester,  just like my first pregnancy.

Since we have so much catching up to do, let's not go into details about my first trimester experience. Let me show you the first ever sewing I made after the long break. It's something super easy peasy!. I called it Easy Skirt.

It's a great project to start with for a beginner. Here I used Moda Fabric - Twirl Spinning Pink by Me and My Sister Designs. Just pair the skirt with cute shirt/top and it makes great everyday clothes. This girl sure loves her skirt as you can plainly see. I think I should make hundreds. =)

Pink Net Headband with Cute Pink Button

I made this by accident today. The netting fabric was bought for other purpose. I accidentally sewn together the strip of 2 inch wide of netting as I was doing faux gathering method.

I cut it and started to think what to do with it. Accidentally again, my eyes laid on the T-shirt fabric on the floor. The idea was then automatically pop into my head.

There you go, pink net headband for the beautiful "who thinks she is a princess" girl.

Photo Shoot @ Barbie Store Midvalley

Free photo shoot and 1 4R photo with purchase of RM80 at Barbie Store, Midvalley?

Of course the mom who's giddy with an excitement. Yes, free. But technically not free. You purchase a total of RM80 items at the store and your kid is entitle to have a free photo shoot.

Don't let this fool you. After you see the cuteness of you child's photos, you end up paying more.

And that was what happening to me. Sorry daddy if you read this. I'm such a spendthrift mom.

They let your kid to choose her favourite dress, make her up, put on a wig and voila, you kid will be princess for an hour.

They take numerous photos and then let you/your kid choose you favourite pictures. This comes the part that will determine whether you strong enough to let the temptation goes. And as they say, for me the rest is a history. =)

Psst: Raisya looks so different, don't you think? She's been forced by the photographer to pose. She's totally clueless on what's happening. The photographers didn't believe me when I said she's only 2 1/2T. Yes, she's tall for an average 2 1/2T.

Bila baju sudah muat

Everyone loves free pattern right! Who doesn't? At least for someone who share the same interest with me.

I made the dress because I wanted to try the free pattern by Rae of Made By Rae.

It was two years ago. Times flies and now the Itty Bitty Dress fit Raisya perfectly. How I wish I used pretty fabrics instead.

Never mind. That would be the reason to use up my fabric stash I've accumulated.

Sample Tunic Dress

I'm on my block leave starting 19-23 December. I'm really looking forward for a long leave like this to catch up with my overdue sewing projects. But, that's not the case. Too many family matters to attend to.

On Monday, I managed to sew one sample tunic dress for Raisya.

I called it sample dress because I sew it using remnant fabric that I had (the same fabric as Arianna Dress that I posted a while ago).

I wanted to make sure that the sizing is correct before I can cut my cute (and expensive) stash of fabrics. I just need to tweak a little bit on the neck, button back closure and embellishment on the front dress. The rest is just perfect.

Sample dress in action. Loving our shoes. :)

Raisya turned two!

My sweet adorable baby just turned two on April, 9. How time flies. I still remember every single moment that happened on the day she was born. The joy and love I feel being a mother is indescribable.   And now she's already two. Oh, I missed this little face.
Raisya 2 Days
We had small celebration for her birthday since I didn't have time to prepare for her party. I ordered Raisya's birthday cake from Akma who blog HERE and my previous babysitter made all the preparations for our small "makan-makan'.

Wanna look how this baby turned to adorable, cheeky and pretty 2 years old and still breastfeeding?

Yep, that's her posing for the camera in front of our new mattress. By the way, she is wearing birthday dress that I got her yesterday. It's sort of my birthday present to her. The dress is from Chateau de sable.

It is a French brand and has small store in Pavillion. Look at the packaging! Love 'em!

She always smiling like this.  Who to blame? Definitely her mama. Hahaha...

See. It's too much.

And finally this is the real face.  Love her. Heart her to bit.
